On Thursday The Tennessean newspaper officially endorsed Daron Hall for sheriff, writing that he is the only candidate that "possesses the skill set that it takes to oversee more than 4,000 inmates, more than 850 employees and a $70 million budget".

Scoreboard Bar & Grill hosted the Daron Hall Voting Kick-off Party on April 16.

More than 1,000 people attended the Not So Sure Shot Rabbit Hunters' Supper on April 3, including Daron Hall and his supporters. The charity event, revived after a 16-year absence, was once the biggest political event in the county each year.

Sheriff Daron Hall received 89 percent of the votes counted during a straw poll held at the event.

The Nashville Fraternal Order of Police Andrew Jackson Lodge #5 has chosen to endorse Daron Hall by an overwhelming vote.
